The Epitome of Racism in: “Say Her Name: The Life and Death of Sandra Bland”

I have chosen the documentary aired on HBO, “Say Her Name: The Life and Death of Sandra Bland” for the review. This documentary explores the dynamics and effects of racism and the impact it has on an individuals’ psyche. One factor that most of the times is ignored regarding racism is the two way effect it has on people in the society. For instance, it is mostly assumed that only people of color suffer as a result of getting targeted in the lieu of racism. However, that is not entirely true. All people regardless of their sex and race are hit by the negativity that is spread by racist attacks.

Although it has been decades since awareness on racism and its dangers on society has been raised, still the issue remains to be quite prevalent. Little to no improvement has been observed even after numerous protests, bills, pleas made to improve the conditions for people of color. However, the amount of negligence this issue has received is huge. Consider the recent case of George Floyd and many others like him; being punished on the basis of difference of race. Imagine the blow their families receive losing their loved ones to hate and intolerance!

“Say Her Name: The Life and Death of Sandra Bland” investigates the reason behind a black woman – Sandra Bland’s death as the title clearly reveals. She was a middle aged African American who got severely punished for a non criminal act. The reason for her hanging was based on her being jailed after she was arrested for traffic law’s violation somewhere in Texas back in the year 2015. She had been politically active, that could be a possible reason for unjust charges pressed against her. No one knows what happened inside the cell, her hanging body came as an unexpected spectacle to the audience. The documentary was very insightful in arousing sentiments of connectivity and empathy within its audience.

The third view is the one that supports human rights most favorably. Liberalism and the wider cosmopolitan belief that human beings belong to an one global group are generally linked. It states that states have a constructive obligation to protect aliens from dictatorship and a right to do so because human rights are fundamental rights and should always be protected. According to conventional theorists, states settled on some minimum behavioural requirements. Action to promote human security across borders does not however, enforce the will of any dominant states but rather uphold and implement the universal principles and/or the common will of international community.

The environment and issues

It is often difficult to see whether efforts have been made in international cooperation

Normally they concentrate on a certain issue. It is their aim to engage in productive cooperation efforts to achieve agreement and consensus on specific strategies for environmental protection and global challenges that make such conferences interesting. In history, climate change and biodiversity have been the two environmental issues that have gained the most attention. The Stockholm Conference also marked the start of the United Nations Environment Program, the first mechanism for global coordination of environmental protection. This conference was also the first to explicitly link human health and environmental and ecosystem health in their speeches.

International law-My opinion

Although international law remains controversial, in particular as potent nations use political influence to bend international law, hardly anyone now declares international law to be meaningless. international law. The debate has then moved from whether international law actually matters’ to if international principles matter.’ For some years now too, the divide between international law and IR. Liberal approaches to IR consider the essential role of standards in influencing state priorities and international collaboration in achieving shared goals by the development of common regulatory structure. The English School promotes an international community in which states inevitably establish laws and structures through contact.

On the other side, foreign lawyers opened up Empirical, social and political strategies to figure out how norms establish and exercise regulatory power through actors. It goes deeper than that international law as a coherent legal framework solely with
Recognized legal sources and specific legal practice techniques. International lawyers are embracing a more complex and holistic approach and a more universal view of international law. This social mechanism contributes to legislative regulations that serve as behavior norms to direct and measure the behavior of foreign actors. It is interesting that in international law people have taken on such a leading position as a key issue across state boundaries.

Internation law

If you convert the settlement scenario to the international stage and replace the families with nations, you can see international law as the key players. States have the supreme and exclusive expertise in this representation Policies and primarily customary and contractual laws relationships between them but no world administration beyond them.

Globalization – In my opinion
