Feminist analysis has showed the importance of taking women’s perspectives and contributions seriously and using this as a basis to explain how IR depends on and perpetuates, gendered assumptions in global politics on who does what who experiences what and why. Moreover, women are also significant players in political, economic and social systems. Feminism, despite its designation, does little than concentrate on women, or whether women’s problems are considered. Gendered power and what it does in world politics was revealed by feminism in exposing both inequality and power ties. Feminism has questioned a homogeneous notion of ‘woman’ in IR and revealed gendered logics as important organizing structures when it comes to women’s subordination of men, gendered discrimination and the creation of gendered identities.
