Postcolonialism

Postcolonialism explores how economies, administrations and peoples
Foreign ties occur in previously colonized parts of the planet. To examine how core concepts like control, state and safety can be implemented
Postcolonialism provides a more nuanced view of the replication of the condition .Such ideas are representative of traditional ideologies. Postcolonialism further reveals how the West sees Islam and its adherents are an expression of Western insecurities themselves. Edward Said owes a considerable debt to Postcolonialism for its work

Feminism – In my opinion

Building peace after war is a rising priority of IR scholars

Feminist

Feminist Theory Challenges Women’s Almost Complete

Feminism has illustrated the imbalance of women in making women visible.

The typical emphasis on states and ties between them overlooks the fact that men are primarily in charge of state institutions, The dominant authority and decision-making mechanisms. Constructivism – In my opinion

Bhutan is a Buddhist kingdom in the Himalayas. Materials
Structural factors are expressed in a population of approximately 745,000,
A area of 38,394 square kilometers, a poor economy and a weak economy. Very small army. On top of that, Bhutan has a national boundary with the two major forces in Asia, China in the North and India in the South. The Bhutan place is geographically sensitive since the nation acts as a buffer state. Between these major powers, which see each other as competitors rather than rivals, Mates, guy. Constructivism-1

The arrival of constructivism in IR is often correlated with the end of the Cold War,

Book Review ‘Tear GAS’

Book Review

The subject and the point of discussion for the book Twitter and Tear Gas are the protest movements that have taken a boost with the arrival of modern internet technology (Tufekci, 2017). Tufekci has observed and pointed out how modern protests have changed because of the arrival of the internet. The power of the internet is making possible the protest movements at large scale. Ethnographic research and deft analysis have been put in her book, having a significant data analysis from social media outlets. The book lessons are much wider than the central topic, which makes the book entertaining and insightful. Tufekci has explained the book concepts using two opposing models. First, the internet has made the protesters like a mammoth who have influence over society and government. It is evident from the successful revolutions from 2010 to 2013 of Egypt, Ukraine, and Tunisia. Second, today’s protests are not influencing the large population like protests of years back; the internet has made them ineffectual. In social movements, both social media and computer algorithms are implemented to orchestrate the agenda. In response, the government uses technology to manipulate social movements while using technological affordances. As a result of these implications, the forces help the society in mobilizing and demobilizing for a cause and agenda.

The book subtitle is ‘The Power and Fragility of Networked Protest.’ With the internet, protesters are getting this power as a tool to influence the public. The internet is giving newfound abilities to them to quickly organize and scale. The author says that judging the modern and pre-internet protests on the same scale would be a mistake. If hundreds of thousands of people were gathered to listen to the speech of Martin Luther King Jr., it was a culmination of a multi-year protest effort and six months of careful planning. With the arrival of the internet, many people came together in the 2011 Cairo protests because they were loosely coordinated on Twitter and Facebook.

Nepalese of the Sherpa region had put an effort to assist the climbers of Mount Everest by carrying supplies, such as ropes and ladders, for them That is the power through which people with less training made a great effort. The author of the book explains that the internet has made possible gradually and rapidly the start of networked movements where there has become less need to make prior formal and informal efforts for the inevitable challenges. All is possible just by changing the tactics. The phenomenon called “tactical freeze” given by Tofekci says: “Make movement, wide decisions and survive over the long haul” (Tufekci, 2017). The purpose of Tofekci’s book is not to argue that modern protests are less effective and unsuccessful, but her focus is that they are different. So, in order to lead an effective movement, the protesters need to understand the differences and extract advantages of their movements.

The taxonomy of the author of the book Twitter and Tear Gas is a more general discussion over the effect of the internet on society. In my perception, our technological future is a long characterization between quick and strong. The quick make the first use of new technology to expand their power. The people of this category are marginalized groups, hackers, and criminals. However, the strong are slower, and they expand their power slowly. In this case, protesters use Facebook first for the purpose of organization. Later on, the government uses Facebook on how to track protesters. There is no clear distinction on who will take the upper hand in the long run.

GLOBALIZATION

Globalization is the term adopted to illustrate the increasing reliance of the world’s markets, societies, and cultures, brought closer by inter-border trade in products and services, investment streams, technology, individuals, and data. Countries have developed economic assistance to promote these movements for hundreds of years (Jameson & Miyoshi, 1998). Over the centuries, the global village has realized that focusing on economic development is better than enforcing wars on one another, putting an end to empires.

Today, when I went to the supermarket, I put on my lens of globalization and witnessed many things that I ignored before. Starting with leaving my home, I took out my phone to take pictures, and then I realized that my phone is a Chinese product, the first impact of globalization on my day. As I walked down the street, I saw a couple of Muslim citizens wearing their traditional scarves and caps. This showed how individuals from different cultures across the border practice their culture and traditions in this country. As I crossed by them, I saw a billboard portraying a Google advertisement showing how android has connected millions of people worldwide. This technological transfer from an American company into the entire world shows how globalization is deeply rooted in our lives. Even before entering the supermarket, I had stumbled upon many things that came in the category of globalization, but after entering there, I witnessed even more. There were local and imported products in every rack, which came through the logistical processes to the store. Like Swiss chocolate or Turkish jewellery, the imported products arrived at the store by ship or air to the country first. And after arriving at airports or dry ports, the logistics companies supply these products everywhere. Although I could not take a picture of any truck unloading the products, I believe globalization must have an impact there as well. Globalization is everywhere if a person starts to look at it. From our clothes to smartphones and cars, everything is jointly made. Even American based companies cannot claim success without taking the help of foreign expertise in technology, labor, or any other services.

REALISM ..MEME

I chose Realism because its exactly what’s going on in America today .A realism walks into a bar and order a half glass of wine .Realism is basically power and security ,since we live into a world we can’t trust anyone. Realism   or political realism is a theory that emphasizes the competitive and contradictory aspects of international politics (Karpowicz & Julian, 2018). Phenomenally, realism theory proposes a few underlying facades that contend the states as the most imperative actors and refers international system as anarchic. Moreover, it is asserted that within a state, nothing is more superior to the state itself, and therefore, everyone has to work for establishing interaction; otherwise, the most potent one will take charge of overall control. The fundamental archetype of realism stresses the notion of survival for the international states that compels them to pursue self-interest and defense as rational, pragmatic, and unitary actors. Consequently, states establish and maintain their armies and other surviving techniques that create anarchy in the international system. The meme utters the very concept and says that the international system is anarchic in realism because it seems rational; it is sarcastic and realistic at the same time.
